Photography Courses with Mimosa

Mimosa Lodge has paired with photographer Luke Metelerkamp to bring you an exclusive weekend away Photography Course.

The course includes an introduction to how a camera works and will provide a better general understanding of all the knobs and dials on your specific model. Fundamental technical aspects of exposure control; Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO will all be covered in detail as how to select the best setting for your shot. Moreover, you'll also learn to work with the RAW file format and digital processing of RAW files.

Outdoor exercises in and around picturesque Montagu will be set out to hone your skills in a range of disciplines from landscape to still life and historic architecture. These will be directed at rehearsing the technical aspects covered as well as developing your creative eye.

Each day on return we'll cover the digital side of downloading, digitally editing and saving your images shot during the day. These digital editing skills will include exposure correction, contrast and saturation adjustment as well as converting to black and white.
